I am thrilled that acclaimed director Philip Noyce (Rabbit Proof Fence, The Quiet American) has agreed to be FilmLab's patron and Philip will be joined by an impressive group of professionals who have signed on as advisers.Premier Mike Rann

Ashlee is Adelaide born and bred. After 5 years of backpacking around the globe, soaking up the sights of places like Cairo, La Paz and Hong Kong, and working in places such as NYC, Monaco and rural UK, she came to the conclusion that Adelaide is in fact one of the best places in the world to live.
Since retiring her backpack and taking root in the Adelaide Hills, Ashlee has been working consistently on building her film-making skills. She has a BA majoring in Screen Studies and completed a Screen Australia / SAFC funded short film, The Kiss (based on a Peter Goldsworthy story), which won 2 AFI Awards, Best Emerging Filmmaker at the Melbourne International Film Festival, and the ATOM Award for Best Short Fiction..
Ashlee is most fond of: films with interesting female characters / films with a distinctive authentic voice / films that make her brain kick into overdrive with moral dilemmas or multiple plot twists or well observed ponderings about the human condition. Plus her inner geek is quite partial to a well made science fiction. Her great ambition is to make a feature film at FilmLab that entertains her audience and with a bit of luck also challenges them.
