Christopher is a multi award‐winning graduate of the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. His films have screened at major festivals including Cannes, Palm Springs, Tribeca, London, Chicago and Poland's Camera‐Image. Originally trained as a fine‐art photographer & dancer, Christopher ran his own studio, choreographed and performed on the fringe theatre circuit before turning to directing in 2001. In 2002 he graduated with the schools's highest accolades for directors.
After leaving AFTRS Christopher travelled around Australia contributing to the world's largest video memorial, The Australians at War Film Archive. He also directed two sell‐out seasons of Alan's Ball's Five Women Wearing the Same Dress at the Darlinghurst Theatre.
Christopher's most recent (26 minute) short, SWING was financed by the South Australian Film Corporation and the Adelaide Film Festival (AIFF). Premiering at AFF in February 2007 the film received the Audience Award for Best Short Film. SWING also won Best Film at St Kilda International Film Festival and was nominated for Best Short Film at the 2007 Australian Film Institute Awards.
Chris currently runs his own company POP Pictures developing a slate of projects and offering a range of production services.
