Craig Behenna

Craig Behenna trained as an actor, playwright and director at Flinders Drama Centre and at the Guildford School of Acting. He has more than ten years' experience in theatre and screen production and performance. Craig began his career working primarily in theatre, and has worked in dramaturgy and script development for some of Australia's leading theatre companies, including Griffin Theatre Company, Australian Theatre for Young People, the Australian National Playwrights' Centre and The State Theatre Company of South Australia.

As a producer, Craig's theatre productions have won awards from the Adelaide Critics' Circle (Best Music Theatre Performance) and the Adelaide Advertiser (Hit of the Fringe).

Craig has also played a part in developing projects for screen, including several collaborations with Nick Matthews and David Ngo. Most recently, Craig and Nick co-wrote the feature Any and Luc Turn Left to be produced by David Ngo and directed by Nick Matthews, with Craig fulfilling the role of co-producer. Craig, Nick and David also collaborated on the comedy short film Death of a Bogan (Tropfest Shortlist 2010). Craig and Nick have also co-written the feature script 38 and are developing the feature project One Eyed Girl. Craig was also co-producer and script consultant for the SAFC-funded short Collision, written by Nick Matthews and David Ngo.

Craig also continues to work as an actor. His credits include performances as part of the Adelaide Festival, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, and a number of credits for television and film on shows such as Fat Pizza, Danger 5 and Scooby Doo The Movie.
