Nick Matthews

Nick Matthews is an AFI award winning filmmaker who trained in Europe on productions including the Steven Spielberg HBO series Band Of Brothers, Working Titleʼs About A Boy and many BBC and Channel 4 documentaries.

Since returning to Australia, he has co-produced, co-edited, and photographed Murali Thalluriʼs feature film 2:37 which was officially selected for the Cannes Film Festival. He also photographed US feature Broken Hill starring Oscar winner Timothy Hutton, and the 2nd units of international productions including Like Minds, Beautiful Kate, and Oranges And Sunshine. Nick was also the cinematographer of two AFI best short films; Spike Up (2007), and The Kiss (2010) that also won Nick the 2010 AFI for best short film screen craft.

In 2010 Nick directed the SAFC funded short Collision, TVCs for State Theatre Company, Clemenger BBDO and Stonechapel wines.

Nick is currently developing a feature film thriller entitled One Eyed Girl in the South Australian Film Corporationʼs FilmLab program with producer David Ngo and co-writer Craig Behenna.
